A³
Where Ambition, Aerospace, and Achievement Align.
Our Story: From Legacy to Launchpad
It began with a vision—a vision forged in the skies, tested in labs, and rooted in legacy.
Oliver Fletcher, a rocket scientist with decades of experience working on advanced air systems with NASA, Lockheed Martin, and the U.S. Navy, carried with him the brilliance of a mind shaped by both innovation and adversity. Born in Africa, he came to the United States with nothing but talent, tenacity, and a dream to transform the world through aerospace. He built spacecraft systems. He led missions. But deep down, he knew his greatest mission was still ahead.
Alongside him stands his wife, Sharon Fletcher—a powerhouse in her own right. A visionary CEO of two technology companies, a licensed financial advisor (Series 24, 7, 66), and a mother of two prodigiously gifted children who build complex engineering systems as a hobby, Sharon shares Oliver’s conviction: Genius is God-given, but opportunity is not evenly distributed.
Together, they knew the world needed more than classrooms—it needed launchpads. So they created one.
A³: Akan Aerospace Academy
Named after the Akan tribe of West Africa, where their family lineage originates, “A³”—or “Akan Aerospace Academy”—is more than a name. The triple “A” is symbolic:
Stability. Perfection. Completeness.
A mathematical cube.
A divine shape, mirroring the Trinity and God’s dwelling place.
Through our nonprofit, Forgotten Places Inc., we serve the poorest communities across the world—Brazil, Mozambique, the Philippines, and beyond. But Akan Aerospace Academy brings that same mission home, empowering students with STEM, confidence, and calling.
Because to us, success isn’t about what you build—it’s about who you lift.
And when a child discovers their purpose, that is the real launch.
Our Purpose
To awaken the God-given brilliance within every child and elevate overlooked potential into bold, purpose-driven leadership.
Our Mission
To close the gap in STEM by providing access, sparking confidence, and launching future-ready leaders through Aerospace.
Our Vision
To build a global network of innovation incubators where the Forgotten Genius is ignited, nurtured, and launched—producing a new generation of engineers, visionaries, and world-changers who rise not just with knowledge, but with purpose.
What Makes Us Different
Akan Aerospace Academy is more than a school—it's a training ground for the dreamers who will build the future of flight and space.
Project-Based Learning: Students design rockets, build autonomous drones, run flight simulations, and explore planetary science through real-world challenges.
Mentorship by Industry Experts: We connect students with aerospace professionals, engineers, and innovators who guide their journey every step of the way.
Cutting-Edge Facilities: Our labs feature 3D printers, Arduino kits, drone technology, simulation stations, and industry-standard CAD/CAE tools.
Lifelong Learning Model: From elementary school to college prep, our programs grow with each student—building confidence, leadership, and mastery.
Our Impact
We don’t just prepare students for careers—we launch them into purpose. Whether they pursue breakthroughs in aerospace or build the next wave of technology, our students emerge with unshakable confidence, real-world skills, and a deep sense of calling to lead, innovate, and uplift others. We shape leaders who don’t just reach for the skies—they redefine them.
Join the Mission
We are currently accepting students across Southern California and offering partnerships for schools, sponsors, and STEM advocates. Together, we’re building the future—one mission, one student, one breakthrough at a time.
